Jaouad Mourtada

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at ENSAE/CREST. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory for Computational and Statistical Learning at the University of Genoa, hosted by Lorenzo Rosasco. I did my Ph.D. in the Center for Applied Mathematics (CMAP) at École Polytechnique, where I was supervised by Stéphane Gaïffas and Erwan Scornet.

My research focuses on the mathematical foundations of statistical learning, with particular emphasis on density estimation, aggregation, and sequential prediction. I am especially interested in the interplay between statistical estimation, high-dimensional probability, and geometry.
