Jaouad Mourtada

Since September 2020, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at ENSAE/CREST. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory for Computational and Statistical Learning at the University of Genoa, hosted by Lorenzo Rosasco. I did my Ph.D. in the Center for Applied Mathematics (CMAP) at École Polytechnique, where I was supervised by Stéphane Gaïffas and Erwan Scornet.

My research interests are at the intersection of statistics and learning theory. I am particularly interested in understanding the complexity of prediction and estimation problems. My current research interests mainly revolve around questions in statistical learning theory and robust statistics.
